The Abs Diet is a diet plan based around eating six times a day and exercising to build muscle and decrease body fat. Though many of the Abs Diet principles are not new, they are presented in a way that will get you excited to begin the diet plan and start seeing results.

In order to have abdominal muscles that are the envy of all of your friends, you need to have a very low body fat percentage. The seven day meal plan and twelve 'power foods' of the Abs Diet are designed to help you quickly achieve your weight loss goals. The 'power foods' include almonds, beans, green vegetables, fat-free dairy items, unsweetened oatmeal, eggs, lean meats, natural peanut butter, olive oil, whole grain breads, whey protein powder and berries.

Physical fitness is also a critical component of this diet plan, which encourages participants to take part in strength and interval training. The Abs Diet states that building muscle will increase metabolism to help burn excess fat. Need some workout suggestions?
