The Bruce Lee Diet does not have a set eating regimen, but rather, is largely based on health foods, lots of protein, and vitamin and mineral supplements. People who would like to follow this diet plan should avoid refined carbohydrates, such as baked goods, and generally focus on only eating foods that will benefit the body.

The majority of the diet plan consists of eating healthy Chinese foods, such as tofu and vegetables, and not the Americanized versions, like fried sweet and sour chicken. Dairy products are also an important part of the Bruce Lee Diet, and either powdered milk or fresh milk should be used as a base for protein drinks. While on this diet plan, people should aim to drink one or two protein drinks each day, consisting of milk, eggs, wheat germ, peanut butter, banana, and brewer's yeast blended until smooth.

In addition to focusing on the kinds of foods to eat, the Bruce Lee Diet also stresses the importance of portion control. Dieters should eat four or five small meals per day, in addition to a couple of healthy snacks, such as fresh fruits and vegetables. Some of the diet plan's supplements that can help dieters to achieve their fitness goals include vitamin C, bee pollen, ginseng, honey, and vitamin E.

The Bruce Lee Diet is similar to many diets used by body builders, with the goal being that people give their body enough protein and carbohydrates to excel during high intensity, muscle-building workouts. Not surprisingly, followers of this diet plan should make sure that they are getting plenty of exercise, as extra calories that are not exhausted during workouts could result in unwanted weight gain.
