The Special K Diet - Up for the Two Week Challenge!?!

The Special K Diet has been around for many years and has demonstrated great success with those who have participated in the Special K Diet Challenge. The steps to the Special K Diet Challenge are really simple to perform. Once you've seen the weight loss, you'll want to change your eating habits for life and stick with your new, healthy routine! With proper eating habits, balanced proportions and guidance, you'll be able to regulate your eating patterns, whether you're always on the go or stuck in the middle of traffic!

The Special K Diet Challenge

Eat a 45g serving of Special K cereal (any variety) with 2/3 cup skim milk and fruit for two meals per day. Regulate your third meal to be nutritionally balanced, low in fat and high in fiber, containing plenty of vegetables plus a source of protein such as meat, fish or other alternatives. The Special K Diet encourages carbs to be included, in the form of jacket potatoes, rice, pasta, bread and other options. For snacks, choose from fresh fruits and vegetables or a Special K bar. Consume (non-alcoholic) beverages as you normally would.

It's important to remember that the Special K Diet isn't for long-term use, but is simply a 2 week kick-start to a healthier lifestyle.

Challenge Completed: Now the Follow-Up!

Sometimes it's easier to make smaller changes to your long term dietary intake so here are some Special K Steps to help you follow through!

  • When dining out, wait five or ten minutes before ordering dessert. During this time, your body will let you know if it's still hungry or not.
  • Another Special K step is to set small goals toward the bigger, overall goal and to feel good about yourself with every step you achieve.
  • Finally, review your goals every two to three weeks, and compare your progress from when you began the Special K Challenge with the Special K Diet.

By documenting your steps to achieving your goals, you'll be able to see steady progression which can be the best motivator of all!
